A pyrographic drawing on suede of mountains, titled Maroon Bells, by artist John Burd II. This piece, made with a woodburning tool on leather, depicts a view of Aspen, Colorado’s Maroon Bells peaks. The carefully-rendered hills are faced by a line of pines and a still lake, and the piece is signed to its lower right corner, in addition to being titled and signed to the verso. This piece is presented in a wood frame with a burlap liner and a wire for hanging to the verso.
