A collection of hand-colored copperplate engravings after original drawings by Austrian illustrator Ferdinand von Řezníček (1868-1909). Each of the five works depict a late 19th century dancing couple, in various labeled styles. Each work is signed in plate and printed ‘Gravure Münchener Graph Gesellschaft’ in the bottom right. These are presented unmounted and unframed, within a portfolio Sechs Tanzbilder in KUpferdrunk mit der Handkoloriert by Albert Langen.
Condition
- toning with staining at edges of paper; smudge across center of “A fescher Domino”; original folder now in two pieces has crumbling around edges from age.
