1919 Newcomb College Nouveau Art Pottery Vase by Joseph Meyers
Item Details
An art pottery vase by potted by Joseph Meyers in 1919 for Newcomb College Pottery. The vase appears with an art nouveau floral design in rich indigo, blue, purple and green tones and interior off-white glaze. Purple flower appear just above the shoulder of the vase and just below the green rim. There green stems run vertically down the vase. Marked to the underside with a Newcomb College mark, the initials of the potter JM, and the year indication as JY1.
Condition
- 2" hairline crack along the top rim.
