An 18th century English enamel on copper nécessaire travel box containing implements needed for a lady to do her embroidery and sewing. The hand painted enamel box is illustrated with fruit and birds in gold cartouches, the front a seated lady. The fitted interior holds scissors, needle, pick and thread holder.

Condition

A bit of craquelure to the enamel and the scissors is missing finger ring.
