Item Details
An oil painting on canvas of a nautical scene signed ‘Forbes’, created in 1957. This work features a large ship sailing on the sea, against a yellowish sky. On the ship is an American flag that flutters in the air and some minuscule crewmen are visible on the deck. A small sailboat is visible in the distant left background. The painting is signed and dated to the lower right. It is presented in a beveled brown wood frame.
Condition
- brown spot stains scattered throughout paint; some paint loss along edges of painting; wear in frame includes chips, scratches, dents, stains, and discoloration throughout.
