Hopi Style Woven Wicker Coil Basket

Item Details

A Hopi style woven wicker coil basket. This basket has tapered sides and a round base. It has orange and brown coils, with a zig-zag design in tan along the thicker brown band. There are no identifying markings. In Hopi culture, these vessels not only serve utilitarian purposes, but are also used in ceremonial applications, and even as a type of currency.
