Utagawa Hiroshige Woodblock on Paper "Toto, Ryogoku"

A Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock print on paper titled Ryōgoku Bridge in Edo (東都両ごく) from Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (富士三十六景) by famed Edo period Japanese woodblock artist Utagawa Hiroshige (歌川 広重, 1797-1858), originally published in the 4th month of 1858. This is print is a later 19th-century copy. A large bridge spans the water in the background with boats scattered throughout and Mt. Fuji in the far distance. Two women climb into a boat in the lower left. Text appears in a cartouche to the top right and Hiroshige’s signature in one to the lower right. The work remains unmounted and unframed.

- some bending to the corners; minor discoloration.
