19th-Century English Tea Caddy with Shell Form Marquetry Inlay

A 19th-century walnut English Georgian tea caddy with satinwood inlay. Finley veneered tea caddy with shell form marquetry inlay to the lid and to the front of the box. The top and front panels have string inlaid boarders with a reeded look to the front left and right edges. Around the lock is a bone escutcheon.

Condition

- replaced hinges; some veneer damage to the lower right on the front; two dark spots to the top of the lid; paper lined interior is coming loose.
