An original large abstract acrylic painting on canvas by contemporary American artist Robbie Kemper (Cincinnati, Ohio; born 1957), titled White Diagonals Over Black. The painting depicts layered aggresive, wide brushstrokes of stark black and white paint layered over one another. A few splattered drips add a contrasting texture to the composition. The painting is signed to the lower left. It is presented without matting or framing, but is ready to hang. Kemper studied art at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Art, Architecture and Planning, and is currently a studio resident at the Pendleton Art Center in the historic district of Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio.
