An Ethan Allen striped armchair. The decoratively carved dark stained wood frame of the chair comprises a straight back rail, stiles which extend straight down from the rail before bending forward as low sloping arms with knuckled handholds, S-curved arm supports which end with rosette blocks to either side of the apron, and turned and tapered legs with fluted detail. The padded seat back and padded sides below the wooden arms, as well as the T-cushion, are upholstered with beige and cream tone vertical wide-stripe satin sheen fabric.
