An antique American Waltham pocket watch with a 14K yellow gold case by Brooklyn Watch Case, Co. This piece has a ceramic dial with white background and black numbering, though it is missing glass front, hands, and front cover. The case has stamped decoration, and the back cover features an etched vignette of flowers and a fan. It is stamped on the interior of back cover is ‘Warranted, 14 K, U.S. Assay’, ‘B.W.C. Co.’, and ‘866467’. There is an engraving to the interior of the name ‘G. Dockery’. The watch movement is marked ‘Safety Barrel’, ‘American Waltham Watch, Co.’, and ‘6964890’. The serial number dates this piece to the 1890s.
