Antique Victorian Wilcox Cruet and Pickle Caster Set With Tongs
Item Details
A collection of antique Wilcox silver plate and glass castor and cruet sets. The pickle caster includes both of the hand shaped pickle tongs and cruet set is also complete. The sets have matching diamond pressed patterns and there are both glass with silver plated lids. The bottles were designed to hold vinegar, oil, soy sauce, and mustard. An antique (1821-45) spoon from the firm of Hamilton & Co. a well-known respected British silversmith with operations in both Calcutta and New Dehli India and bearing distinctive hallmarks including an elephant is also included. There are impressed marks reading ‘W LCCX Silver Plate Co’.
Condition
- some minor surface wear with faint markings and tarnishing.
