Nippon Floral Vase and Lusterware Mayonnaise Bowl
Item Details
A Nippon floral ceramic vase and lusterware mayonnaise dish. The vase features gilt trim on the rim, double scrolled handles and tapered body with a bold, large scale orange and green floral motif on a blue background. It is marked ‘Made in Japan with a flower mark to the underside. Also included is an iridescent blue to lavender lusterware condiment bowl, having a scalloped rim, being glazed on the interior with a bright marigold luster glaze. The bowl rests in a leaf-shaped underplate with similar finish, and the set comes with a small ladle or spoon. It is marked ’Noritake’ to the underside.
