An antique Victorian balloon back side chair. The walnut frame features a rounded, burl-paneled crest centered by a carved cartouche above a horizontal splat, scrolled hip supports, and a padded seat. The seat is upholstered in red, needlepoint-style fabric with yellow fleurs-de-lis. The chair rises on curved, front legs centered by a bowed seat rail.
