A set of hand painted US Civil War themed chess pieces. The group features Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant leading the Union Army and Jefferson Davis and Stonewall Jackson leading the Confederate Army. The set has sixteen pieces each with the Union Army having blue uniforms and brown bases bases and the Confederate Army having gray uniforms and ivory colored bases. Each piece is hand painted and have black felted bottoms.
