An Aaron Rubinstein signed Modernist sterling collar necklace. This handcrafted piece is formed as a wide collar necklace offering a dramatic centerpiece of a large oval black onyx cabochon set against a Brutalist-style frame composed of linear tube segments. It bears an etched signature ‘Aaron Rubinstein, sterling w/black onyx’ and is dated 12/26/91. Mr. Rubinstein was born in Poland in 1928, living in Israel and the United States where he studied sculpture and jewelry at the Minneapolis Institute of Art before settling in Cincinnati to open his own business as a contemporary jewelry designer.
