Published in London by Virtue and Company. Plus, Among My Books Volumes One and Two by James Russell Lowell, 20th edition, published 1882 in Boston by Houghton Mifflin& Co., quarter leather bound with marbleized boards and end-pages; The Obligation of the World to the Bible: a Series of Lectures to Young Men by Gardiner Spring, DD. has inscriptions dating 1838, is cloth bound with gilt stamped decoration to the cover; two volumes of Lectures on the Philosophy of the Human Mind by the Late Thomas Brown, MD published in Boston 1826 in full leather; a 1738 German Prayer Book, 1860 publication Holy Bible to name most of the books present in the lot.

Most books show age and deterioration. Scotts has considerable foxing on the pages.
