Mother of Pearl and Abalone Marquetry Box with the Nativity Scene
Item Details
A mother of pearl and abalone shell marquetry box with red velvet lined interior. The central panel of the lid features a carved mother of pearl relief Nativity scene and abalone ground to offset the lustrous colors. Carved mother of pearl panels are present around all sides and the box sits on four bracket feet. A brass latch appears to one side and hinges to the other.
EBTH certifies this item is from the private collection of personal property formerly owned by Dr. Robert H. Schuller.
