19th Century Oil Landscape on Canvas
Item Details
An 19th century signed landscape oil on canvas. This Romantic Period oil depicts a castle ruin to the right, atop a wooden hillock with an arched stone bridge over a stream to the right foreground. A second arched bridge occupies the left mid ground, with ancient ruins and low hills to the distant horizon. The painting is rendered in a realistic manner in warm shades. The painting is signed to the lower right and displayed in an antique gilded frame with floral-embossed outer band.

minor paint wear, some craquelure, frame has some chips to gesso
