Item Details

A handbuilt stoneware Mexican Tonala tea pot. It features a pulled, applied rounded and arched handle, narrow rim, a short, small spout and rounded body on a flat base. It has a wonderful hand-painted decoration of large blue birds on a background of reds with blue accenting decoration and large open flower heads. It rests on a trimmed foot with felt protectors, and is signed ‘Mateos, Mexico’. It comes with a business card of a retailer in Guadalajara.
