Engraving Transfer Porcelain Plaque of Madonna and Child after Auguste Desnoyers

A late 19th/early 20th-century grisaille engraving transfer on porcelain titled La vierge au poisson (Madonna of the Fish) after the original engraving by French artist Auguste Gaspard Louis Boucher Desnoyers (1779-1857) who executed the work after an original painting by Italian Renaissance master Raphael (1483-1520). The porcelain plaque features the Madonna and Child with a long bearded Joseph to the right and an angel presenting a child with a fish to the left. To the verso is signed as ‘KPM,’ however the piece is a reproduction and not original KPM. Presented without glass, with a velvet frame liner, housed in a French style gilt wood frame.
EBTH certifies this item is from the private collection of personal property formerly owned by Dr. Robert H. Schuller.

- small transfer imperfection to the lower left; plaque is somewhat loose in frame; minor scratches and marks to the frame.
