A hand-knotted Persian style area rug. The rug features a central medallion in a palette of taupe, sage green, and deep red that sits on top of a light brown field. The field is populated by floral palmettes and lancet leaves in a complementary palette and is enclosed by a compound border. The border features a floral pattern throughout in taupe and cream. The rug has overcast edges and a wool fringe to either end. Unmarked.
