Delesprie Bronze Bust of Jesus Christ With a Lamb

A contemporary cast bronze sculpture bust of Jesus the shepherd with staff and lamb on his shoulders by well known contemporary artist, Delesprie of Beverly Hills, California. This piece is a partial replica of a large sculpture scene on the Chrystal Cathedral campus, also created by Delesprie, which, according to the family, Dr. Schuller affectionately referred to as ‘The Smiling Jesus’ and commissioned it because in his own words, ‘We never see Jesus smiling and I think he smiled a lot!’. The bust sculpture here is presented on an oval plinth base with molded edge, it is cast signed and numbered, ‘No. 1’ to the back shoulder area.
