Vintage Sterling Watson and Lunt Serving Pieces With an 800 Silver Knife

A collection of sterling silver serving pieces by Watson and Lunt together with a hollow handled 800 silver knife. The Watson company was founded in 1880 and were a major maker of a full line of silver until its acquisition by Wallace in 1955. The bowl has a reticulated pierced border and repoussé molding of flowers. There are hallmarks for Watson on the underside consisting of a crown, ‘W’ and lion as well as ‘Sterling’ and’ L81’ the pattern number. The Lunt bowl, pattern 1164, was made during the partnership of Rogers, Lunt & Bowlen. Founded 1901 in Greenfield, Massachusetts, the company used the R.L.B. logo until 1935. This shallow bowl features flared sides with a delicate floral relief around the edge. The bottom is marked “Sterling 1164” . Also included is a hollow handled 800 silver spoon with a molded handle and etched blade.

- some minor surface wear with faint markings and tarnishing; the 800 silver knife has repairs and damage.
