Item Details
A hand-knotted Indo-Persian runner. This wool rug, likely made in India, features a stylized herati field of arabesqued lancet leaves, palmettes, vines, and flowers in rose, sage, taupe, and mustard over an abrashed cornsilk-colored field. Selvedges are overcast, while the top and bottom finish with short ivory kilim skirts. Fringe has been shorn away. The rug is unmarked.
