Anne Poor Signed Limited Edition Etching "Fragments of the Sanctuary - Delos"

A signed limited edition etching with a la poupée coloring on rag paper with deckled edges titled Fragments of the Sanctuary – Delos, circa 1980, by well-listed artist and frescoe painter Anne Poor (New York; 1918 – 2002). The image depicts the ruins of Greek architecture, one Corinthian pillar left standing while other lie crumbled on the ground. Sap green terrain, brown washed mountains and a cobalt blue sky fill in negative spaces. The print is numbered 40/40, titled and signed in pencil across the lower margin. This piece is unframed. Poor’s work in represented in the permanent collections of numerous museums and galleries, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Brooklyn Museum of Art, all in New York.
Condition
- margins and edges of print are worn and creased, mainly to the lower left and right corners. Imperfections could be mostly concealed with proper matting and framing.
