Chryssa Signed Limited Edition Serigraph "Series 3"

Item Details

A signed limited edition serigraph on Arches paper with deckled edges titled Series 3, circa 1979, by well-listed Pop artist and Precisionist, Vardea Chryssa (Greece/New York/France; 1933 – 2013), known professionally as simply Chryssa. Chryssa created her work as a reaction against Abstract Expressionism of the 1950s and 60s, as her work was an exploration of precision, definite form, and materials. This print is numbered 44 in an edition of 100 and signed by artist in pencil to the lower margin. This piece is unframed. Chryssa’s work in represented in the permanent collections of numerous museums and galleries, including Metropolitan Museum of Art; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, San Diego Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Denver Art Museum, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, and Boca Raton Museum of Art, among many others.
