Le Corbusier 1963 Hand-Pulled Lithograph "Taureau"

An original hand-pulled lithograph on wove paper by well-listed Swiss artist Charles Edouard Jeanneret le Corbusier (1887 – 1965), titled Taureau. The print depicts an abstract figural composition. Gestural black linework outlines the figure’s form, and fields of yellow, green, red, blue, and pale brown ink are layered behind the lines. The print is dated ‘17/2/63,’ marked ’2-C, and signed in-plate to the lower right. It is presented behind glass in a thin silver tone metal frame with a hanging wire attached to the verso.
Condition
- to fair. Light warping to paper and scratching to frame’s surface. Glass is popping out of frame slightly to left edge.
