Edie Harper Signed Limited Edition Serigraph "The Disciples"

A signed limited edition serigraph on wove paper by well-listed Cincinnati artist Edie Harper (1922 – 2010), titled The Disciples. The image depicts a congregation illustrated in playful simplicity standing below a series of large stained glass windows depicting Jesus’ twelve disciples. The print is signed, titled, and numbered 141/750 in pencil to the lower margin. The print is matted in white and presented behind glass in a red rounded metal frame with a hanging wire. Edie Harper described herself as a “Jill of all trades trying to master one” since she had been successful in many areas of art including photography, wood sculpture, weaving, and jewelry design, as well as painting and printmaking. Her husband, well-known artist and illustrator Charley Harper, called her “the thinking man’s Bible illustrator.” Edie’s work has been exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Andover Art Museum, and the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati.
