A Persian style oil painting on canvas of royalty. This painting depicts a king seated on his throne, holding a gold tone sword while three men in traditional clothing and headdress approach him with crossed arms. Simultaneously, a hooded woman ascends the blue stairs holding a calf, staring at the group inquisitively. To the lower margins is painted script, possibly that of Farsi. The painting is wrapped over a wooden stretcher.
