A hand-knotted Indian Heriz Serapi-style runner rug. It features an elongated crenellated lozenge in red with three octagonal pendant medallions running the length, flanked by floral and foliate elements connected by rectilinear vine work in indigo, ruby green and white. The field is framed by an unresolved samovar primary border in the field colors, with overcast edges and trimmed and tied white cotton fringe to each end. Unmarked.
