Item Details

A fine American Classical dressing table in flame mahogany veneers, having an arched mirror, pivoting between two columnar supports with reeded brass finials, over six small drawers, mounted to a rectangular top, above a full-width drawer and columnar front legs with ebonized turnings. The concave plinth base rests on ebonized bun feet. The gilt-brass knobs appear original. This form is associated to furniture produced in Boston, Massachusetts, possibly by cabinetmaker’s, Emmons & Archibald, circa 1830.

Condition

-wear on top, small crack on top shelf, veneer losses.
