A pair of antique George III period upholstered library chairs, c. 1765. This pair of armchairs features a camel back, padded arms, and burgundy damask upholstery. The seat flares out from the sweeping scrolled arms that features floral and lattice blind fret carving and overlay. The chairs rise upon four square carved legs, the front two are straight, the rear two splay back, and feature foliate carved brackets, and brass casters. Casters and floral medallions on arms might be later additions.

Condition

Condition is consistent with age and shows signs of slight scratches and scuffs to the frame.
