Victorian Eastlake Style Oak Settee
Item Details
A Victorian Eastlake style oak settee. This piece features a scalloped crest rail with an upholstered centerpiece and carved acanthus leaves connected by beading. It has fluted stiles and a cushioned back with carved acanthus leaves to either side; the arms are gently curved and feature acanthus leaf brackets. The back and seat are upholstered in light yellow fabric with a pink and brown floral motif and brass nailhead trim. The settee has a fluted apron and rests upon subtle cabriole legs. A tag to the underside indicates that the piece was reupholstered by De Luxe Upholstering Shop in 1942. See coordinating item 17WDC090-032.

Condition
