A finely knotted Bokhara wool carpet runner. This tan, black, and white carpet runner displays two parallel columns of tri-tone octagonal Tekke guls, having a Russian-style form with remnants of bird forms within, running its length. They are flanked by delicate Chemche guls. A pattern of similar, but more elaborate flower box starburst medallions comprises the main border,with additional cross-hatched lattice panel bands decorating the ends. It has overcast edges and fine, soft, dense wool warp fringe to each end. The piece is unmarked.
