Antique Hand-Knotted Persian Wool Floor Mat

Item Details

A hand-knotted antique Persian wool floor mat. It has a large central stepped medallion with a stylized herati motif in brown, blue, and orange. The spandrels are a deep cadet blue, with stylized foliate forms in the field colors, with a highly geometric pinwheel and palmette border. It has thickly overcast edges, a cotton kilim skirt and tied cotton fringe to each end. Unlabeled.
