An oil painting on canvas of an apple still life by Jennie T. Griffith (19th/20th-century), created in 1911. Depicted is an over turned basket of red and green apples spilled onto a flat surface with a knife in front of the basket. The still life emerges from a ground of brown tones. Signed to the lower left in paint. The canvas has been relined on the original stretcher with the original nails. The work remains unframed.

Condition

- canvas has been completely relined; craquelure present throughout; rubbing to the canvas from the original frame visible around the edges; significant areas of over painting present throughout; old canvas edges are worn and ripped.
