Antique and Vintage Delft Tiles

A collection of delft tiles. These pieces were produced in Holland from a tin glazed earthenware body known as delft. The majority of the collection are relatively modern touristic examples and reproductions of early eighteenth century pieces. There is an early to mid- eighteenth century tile with a depiction of dwelling. In addition to the antiques there are artisan tiles reproducing tiles based on unusual examples and typical scenes of daily life. There are printed and painted marks on the modern tiles.
