An American Angus Association metal sculpture of a cow, after Texas-based painter and sculptor Jim Reno (1929-2008).This simplified dark sculpture depicts a large American Angus, its heavy brow lowered and its stocky legs placed squarely on a rectangular base marked with the artist’s name and ‘American Angus’ to one side and ‘American Angus Assn. 1965’ to the other. This piece is mounted on a wood stand and is accompanied by a bronze tone plaque bearing the image of a cow’s head and the words ‘Angus U.S. Centennial 1873-1973.’
