A hand-knotted Bakhtiari wool and cotton area rug. The rug features an elaborate center filled with vibrant reds, blues, orange, pinks, and creams. The border features rectilinear floral and foliate designs on a cream field. The rug has natural cotton warp fringe and overcast selvedge. It is marked to the back ‘Made in Iran, 100% Wool Pile, Bakhtiari’ and is fixed with leather straps sewn to the back to prevent curling.
