A hand-knotted Chinese Isfahan wool accent rug. This wool rug features a central floral pendant medallion and a pattern of floral palmettes and vines in a palette of red, powder blue, shades of salmon and pink, taupe, and cream over a crimson field. The pattern is crisply rendered with arabesqued and scrolled leaves and delicate floral sprays, with embellished spandrels in powder blue with accents in crimson. The field is enclosed by a compound border, including a primary floral border grounded in pink. The rug has overcast edges and a long cotton warp fringe. Unmarked.
