Navajo-Inspired Sand Paintings and Inlaid Wood Landcapes

A pair of decorative Navajo-inspired sand paintings and two inlaid wood landscapes. Offered in this grouping are two paintings, inspired by traditional Navajo sand paintings, of graphic symbols and simplified figures on sand-textured grounds captured in earth tones with red and teal detailing. One is presented under glass and a decorative triple mat in a wood frame with a wire for hanging, the other unframed, and both have illegible signatures and pencil notations to the verso. Also included are a pair of marquetry art landscapes, using carefully-cut wood inlay ranging from pale yellow to dark red in color, depicting a coastal town as seen from the water and trees and rolling hills backed by twin mountains. Both works have frame-like borders and rings for hanging, and neither appears to be signed.
Condition
- light wear to frames; some light scratches and splintering to wood inlay pieces.
