Item Details
An original enamel painting on copper by listed artist Charles Parthesius (1921-1997). Parthesius creates bright scenes of rural life using kiln-fired enamel pigments over copper, often with a loosely splattered surface texture. This painting depicts two children playing near a covered bridge surrounded in fall foliage. The work is signed in the lower right. It is presented in a carved wood frame with a velvet liner. A hanging wire and gallery card are included mounted to the verso.

surface abrasion at top center of velvet matting.
