A set of two Javanese style Loro Blonyo wedding figures. The carved wooden figures represent the ‘Inseparable Couple’ ideal of the Javanese and Indonesian cultures. Featured is a male figure and female figure, each painted in black, brown and reddish-brown hues. The items are unsigned.
Condition
- distressed areas, craquelure, chipping and paint loss present to both pieces; scratches, scuffs and hairline cracks throughout.
