Silver Gelatin Print on Paper after Edward Weston "Dunes, Oceano"
Item Details
A silver gelatin print on paper after the iconic photograph titled Dunes, Oceano by one of America’s most influential photographers Edward Weston (1886-1958), originally shot in in 1936. This photograph comes from Weston’s 1936 series of the dunes in Oceano, California. The series focused on the various lines and patterns found in the dunes. The strong winds create tides in the sand much like the tides of the ocean. He was focused on the clarity and sharpness of the photograph. The stunning result of fine detail appears in an almost abstract nature among the dunes. The work remains unsigned. Presented unmounted and unframed.
