Lowell Nesbitt Signed Limited Edition Serigraph on Paper "Red Dahlia"

A signed limited edition serigraph on paper titled Red Dahlia by well-listed American artist Lowell Nesbitt (1933-1993), created in 1981. From the artist’s Stamp Series, this work features the face of a large centralized red dahlia suspended against a light blue background. The work is dated and signed by hand in graphite to the lower right; it is numbered 80 out of an edition of 250 to the lower left. A blind copyright stamp for the artist is present to the lower left corner of the paper. The work is mounted on white foam board; it remains unframed. A Certificate of Authenticity from The Great Dane Collection is included.

Lowell Nesbitt was a painter, printmaker, and sculptor described as a Photo-realist, known for his large close-up images of flowers. He studied at Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia and the Royal College of Art in London. His work has been displayed at numerous renowned art institutions including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, to name a few.
