Vintage Art Nouveau Style Inlaid Settee

Item Details

A vintage Art Nouveau style fruitwood settee. This piece features a serpentine crest rail and a double fiddle back with inlaid intricate urn and foliate motifs embellished with brass gilding and mother of pearl and other wood inlays of floral, urn, ribbon and acanthus leaf decoration. The piece has arched arms and rests upon cabriole legs with pad feet. The seat is upholstered in blue foliate fabric with overlaid cream and gold tone bands.

Condition

- one arm has a large crack and is taped; one side of crest rail is cracked near the arm joint; considerable scratches and nicks to legs and feet; staining to upholstery near arms.
