Vintage German PIpe

Item Details

From the Black Forest area in Germany, a hand painted porcelain bowl pipe with German inn scene to bowl side, by Hutschenreuther, circa 1950. The bowl is marked ‘CM/HR’, (Charles Hutschenreuther). To top a cast metal domed hinged cover, the porcelain bowl attaches to a wood and bakelite shaft. There is the original string tied to the shaft of the pipe that hooks onto the lid of the bowl so that it won’t get lost.

Condition

- for age, cast top has signs of corrosion.
