A power-loomed Savonnerie-style area rug. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of taupe, olive, crimson, and gold. It begins with a very large, starburst medallion at the center of a taupe field, which is filled with symmetrically arranged floral bouquets, large, swooping acanthus, and meandering florals and vines. The field is framed by compound, broken borders. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with tan fringe. It is unlabeled.
