An original Post-Impressionist oil painting on canvas mounted to board by listed American artist Cornelia De Haaff (California; 1908 – 1996). This alla prima painting was executed using a palette knife to apply thick, buttery pigments to the substrate, creating a tactile and engaging compostion. The image depicts a grove of autumnal trees in the midst of their color transformation, surrounded by lush grass and color, backed by distant blue mountains. Artist signature is signed to the lower left. The painting is mounted behind an oatmeal fabric liner in a carved wood frame with a distressed gilt finish, equipped to hang.
